Description:
This is a fine quality English Art Deco sideboard, constructed with stunning burr walnut timbers, circa 1930, attributed to Harry & Lou Epstein Ltd., in excellent condition. The whole piece is decorated with its original stunning quality book-marked burr walnut timbers in the form of a “skyscraper” design, with a lower central section flanked by two taller pedestal cupboards. This Art Deco credenza pedestals are designed with lovely scalloped shaped door panels, retaining their original brass lever locks (with working key). The doors are fitted with green jade stone and brass handles. The Art Deco sideboard pedestals are raised on recessed plinths. The pedestal doors open to reveal large storage area, incorporating a pull-out drinks bottle drawer to the left pedestal and a cutlery drawer to the top right-hand drawers. Both drawers feature a central shelf.
The central section incorporates a serpentine-shaped frame, housing a large drawer which is fitted with three dividers. The mahogany-lined drawers have been constructed with dovetail joints and the drawer interiors have been cleaned. The central drawer is also fitted with jade colour & brass metal knobs. The Art Deco Sideboard dismantles into three sections (two pedestals and one central section), to allow access through small doors or up narrow staircases. All three items are assembled using dowels and flat-head steel screws.

The drawer interiors have also been cleaned. The drawers are in good working order and are constructed with mahogany linings and dovetail construction. The door fronts are decorated with later green jade colour & brass metal knobs. The doors retain their original brass lever locks with wo
...rking key. This Art Deco sideboard is solid in joint and ready to be used.
