Antique Georgian Oak Mule Chest

A charming 18th century antique oak mule chest. The antique oak mule chest has a two plank hinged lid that opens to reveal a generous storage space. The antique oak mule chest has a three panel front with two fitted drawers to the base, each fitted with decorative brass drop pulls/handles. The antique oak mule chest has panelled sides and is raised on four stile feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In overall good antique condition, with typical signs of age and wear. The piece exhibits surface wear throughout, including age-related marks, scratches, and some imperfections. There is noticeable loss in the latch area, and the top shows splitting, dents, along with visible scratches and staining. A strip of wallpaper has been applied to the inside of the lid historically, presumably to cover the join in the planks. These imperfections are consistent with the age of the piece. Overall a handsome piece, solid and sound.
