The fully serviced and rated fusee movement with maintaining power, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, free sprung blued bi metallic balance with blued helical spring, cylindrical weights and timing screws, signed silvered four inch dial with roman chapters, subsidiary seconds, 48 hour winding indicator, admiralty broad arrow marking and blued steel hands.
Mounted in a numbered polished brass gimballed bowl with rotating winding aperture cover.

From the eminent firm of chronometer makers founded by Paul Philip Barraud (1752 - 1820). Associated with Arnold and Earnshaw, his marine chronometers were notable for their durability and dependability. After 1838, the firm was styled Barraud and Lund and remained in business until the early 20th century.
