Description

A lovely square gold Edwardian photograph locket with a pretty scrolling foliate design chased on both sides. Either side can be worn to the front - one with the hallmark stamps or one with a blank shield-shaped cartouche. The inside contains two circular frames to hold pictures or photos; one rattles around a little but will fit snugly with a photo or little piece of card behind.

SIZE: Approximately 2.3cm, not including the bail.

WEIGHT: 4.1g.

MATERIALS: Nine-carat (375) gold. All parts are gold, it's not a back-and-front locket.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked for nine-carat gold, Chester 1908, with the sponsor's initials AI.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition with the hinge and clasp in good working order.
