In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The legs are joined by square chamfered stretchers and a central stretcher. The table is finished to the same design on all four sides of the table, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are many signs of age and use on the leather surface with stains and old ring marks giving a wonderful rich patina. There are some minor old knocks and marks around the legs but no major damages and nothing detrimental and the wood has a lovely warm colour. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
