Description

A rare matched pair of mid-Victorian Staffordshire pottery sighthounds (greyhound/whippet), each returning from the hunt with a hand-painted hare—one dark-brown, one pale beige—set on a naturalistic base with tree-trunk support. Modeled in mirror-image composition, these 19?cm figures exhibit fine polychrome enamel and gilt accents, original glaze lustre, and characteristic age-appropriate crazing.
