This fine pair of early 20th-century bronze and ivory figures depicts a young man and woman, one as the falconer and the other as the gift bearer. They are both beautifully sculpted and cast with exceptional detail.The bronze elements are finished in silver and cold painted in black. The heads of both figures and one hand on the falconer are exquisitely hand carved in ivory. The figures are mounted onto bronze and turned marble circular plinths.Both figures are signed by the artist and have the foundry mark R.U.M. for Rosenthal and Meader who worked producing these and similar fine pieces until 1929 when they were taken over by Preiss and Kassler.
