Rare Antique Wedgwood White Stoneware Teapot, C.1820

Description

Antique and rare Wedgwood white stoneware teapot, circa 1820, showcasing remarkable early 19th-century English craftsmanship. The hexagonal body features finely moulded relief decoration, combining delicate leaves, flower heads, and distinctive diamond-shaped panels with grotesque masks. The cover, topped by an elegant floral bud finial, complements the overall sophisticated design.

The base is clearly impressed with "Wedgwood," a craftsman's mark "Y," and the number "153," verifying authenticity and historical provenance under Josiah Wedgwood II's leadership.

Dimensions: Width: 21 cm (handle to spout) | Depth: 16 cm | Weight: 580 g

Condition: Minor hairline cracks visible inside (see photo), otherwise excellent.
