Antique silver Waltham pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a good quality 15-jewel grade 620 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 21,230,581 which dates it back to around 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has fairly light surface marking.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Birmingham 1914 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison Dennisons made most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just some gentle unevenness to the back but nothing too serious at all.

The glass lens is in good condition, as is the signed dial.

The watch comes with a single chain, 34cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar is stamped ‘silver’, the chain is probably a lower purity silver than sterling. Also included is a silver and enamel fob, free from inscriptions on the reverse.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
