Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the 1880s.
This fine Victorian inlaid walnut 4 door credenza was made circa 1875.
The Victorian credenza was made in a high-end cabinetmakers workshop.
On the underside of the plinth at both ends it is stamped H.Dauchenhausen.

The credenza is the desirable 4 door version, with the glazed bow doors to each end and a pair of panelled doors to the centre. Each panel with the lovely inlaid pattern to the centre.
There are other examples of the fine marquetry work to the apron and plinth.

To each side of the central doors are superb turned tapering columns with inlaid kingwood banding and finishing with fine cast gilt mounts.
The plinth also with cast moulding running around the top of this.

The cabinet is lined in ivory coloured material.
