George III Chippendale Elbow Chair Circa 1765

Description

Very fine George III mahogany Chippendale elbow chair of very generous proportions. The pierced interlaced back enriched with carving and with carved top rail. The shaped arms also carved at ends and on sides. Raised on bold carved cabriole legs with claw and ball feet. All in fine original condition but with repair to top of back and top rail. Great rich colour with fine waxed patina. A very handsome chair. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE,

Size; 37" high, 28" wide at end arms, 24" deep. Sear height 18".
