Scottish Regency Mahogany Armchair Circa 1820

19th century
Description

Fine Scottish Regency mahogany armchair with carved top rail and splat and having bold curved arms. Raised on reeded sabre kick back front legs united with turned 'X' stretcher typical of Ayrshire chairs. All in fine original condition with just a small repaired break to left of top rail. (see image 2). Fine rich colour with great waxed patina. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 35" high, 23" wide across arms, 21" deep. Seat height 18".
