A fine 18th Century Mahogany Chest Of Drawers of small proportions with brushing slide. The piece is superbly made and in the most wonderful original condition with a lovely rich colour and patina. Retaining the original brass swan neck handles and beautfully shaped bracket feet. The very clean and original drawer linings are made in oak with pine backs. There is a red wash to the underneath, drawer backs and pine groundwork to the ends, this was practiced in the finest workshops of the day including that of Thomas Chippendale.
The pine back boards are untouched with wonderful dry surface. Circa 1760.
