Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1960s.
Each figure sits upon a cylindrical pedestal with square plinth, exemplifying the classical charm, balanced composition, and refined detailing characteristic of Royal Worcester’s mid-century Parian porcelain.

Both pieces bear the factory’s stamped mark, impressed shape numbers, model titles, and the inscription “Modelled by A. Azori,” confirming their provenance. Azori’s limited author series for Worcester in the mid-1960s revived 19th-century Parian traditions—once the province of bespoke commissions for the Art Union of London—now in exceptionally small editions. Auction records attest to their scarcity and high market value.

Male figure 31 × 18 × 13.5 cm, 844 g; female figure 30 × 16 × 13.5 cm, 717 g. Both in excellent condition—no cracks, chips or restoration; virtually perfect.
