Antique Early Metalware 17thc Charles 1 Single Latten Spoon With Strawberry Knop & Makers Mark. English C1630-40.

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A rare spoon from the early 17thc is this Charles 1 period ''strawberry knop'' latten spoon...it has the stamp and initials of the maker in the top of the ''fig'' shaped bowl , the makers mark is of a single spoon and initials RS...it shows signs of pitting as it was probably a metal detecting find and modern fertilizers do have an adverse effect on metalware over time, but it still is in very nice condition, for its great age and strawberry knop spoons in good condition are getting very hard to find.

English. C1630-40.
