Description

A 1967 Omega Chronostop - Drivers version wristwatch. A matte grey finish to the dial, surrounded by white hatched minute/second markers. The outer track alternates top/bottom to accurately read 1/5th seconds. The dial has a central recess, with the hour markers sloping to create a deeper effect to the dial. Each steel hour marker is backed by a lume dot - wiith 12 being indicated by a triangle marker. White and lume variants of 'pencil hands', with a brigh orange seconds.

A stainless steel case with a brushed finish to the front portion of the case, in unpolished condition. The bezel surround is slightly sloped towards the edges, leading down towards the lugs. The lugs are slightly recessed into the case to cover the top of the strap. Original Omega winding crown and start/stop pusher. A screw down case back with a central raised body. Case reference 145.010.

The watch is powered by a 17 jewel caliber 865 Omega mechanism. This particular model of the Chronostop is much rarer, being the drivers edition - with the mechanism and dial rotated to be read with ease whilst gripping a steering wheel. This watch is a particular rarity as it has been preserved with its original Omega racing strap and buckle, operating instructions, international guarantee and is accompanies with an inner and outer Omega service box.
