Description

Antique Waltham half hunter pocket watch, 1898.

The watch has an 11 jewel grade 22 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. A good quality movement with a gilt finish, screw-set jewels and Breguet hairspring. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8,778,700 which dates it back to 1898. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and was made by the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison, supplier of cases to Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just one small indentation to the back, nothing serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
