Antique 20th Century Georgian Style Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase

A large and impressive antique mahogany breakfront bookcase. The bookcase features a moulded cornice above a linen-lined boarded back fitted with twelve adjustable shelves, forming fifteen individual compartments of varied sizes—ideal for books or display. The lower section comprises a central cupboard with a lip-moulded door, which opens to reveal a shelved interior, flanked by two compartments each with a single shelf. The central cupboard is complete with a working lock and key. Raised on a plinth base, this piece offers both elegant design and substantial storage.

Please note, this is a substantial piece of antique furniture and separates into two sections for ease of transport. Be sure to check measurements and access prior to purchase.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places, including age-related marks and scratches. Scratches and fading are visible to the surface, and there is some warping to the linen lining on the back of the bookcase. Supplied with screws for securing the top section.
