Antique Silver Vesta Case

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine example of a small antique Sterling Silver vesta case. It is a completely plain design with a small loop for attaching to a fob chain or chatelaine. It has a hinged lid with gilt interior and a ribbed base for striking.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1912 although the makers mark is a little obscured.

It is good quality and well made, weighing approximately 29g.

It is in good condition and displays well. There are signs of age and use and some faint surface marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
