COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL 19th CENTURY CHINESE EXPORT BLACK & GILT LACQUER TEA CADDYBrief Description:This is a truly stunning quality, complete and original circa 1840s Chinese Export Black and Gilt Lacquered Tea Caddy from the Qing Dynasty.The beautifully presented piece is of a domed form with a hinged lid, which reveals once opened a pair of original Petwer engraved tea canisters, both of which retain their matching inner pewter lids with bone knob handles and the matching pewter engraved outer lids.The whole is embellished with fastidiously painted Chinese scenes in gilt lacquer.
