Novelty English Solid Sterling Silver Spear Letter Envelope Desk Opener 1962

A super quality hand made solid sterling silver desk piece. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1962 with the maker’s marks being that of A E Jones. It has been superbly designed being in a spear type form, possibly a replica of an archaeological piece. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It comes with a box - not the original but it fits well. It measures approx. 7.75 inches (19.8cm) long by over 0.5 inch (1.4cm) wide and weighs 32 grams excluding the box. A very nicely designed example.
