This exceptional, fine and impressive Victorian locket has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold.

The antique Victorian gold locket has a plain elongated oval form.

The anterior and posterior surfaces of the locket are plain and unembellished.

This 1900's hinged locket opens to allow a photograph or small mementos to be placed behind removable, push fit transparent retainer.

The locket pendant suspends from a 9ct yellow gold 34.4' chain via a ring loop attachment to the upper portion, securing to the reverse with a conventional spring-loaded ring bolt fastening; this chain could be reduced in length upon request.

This fine example of antique Victorian jewellery is hallmarked to the anterior and interior with the 15 carat gold mark (15CT).

This stunning pendant is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.

The interior of the cover bear the original retailer's mark 'Est 1846, Flavelle Bros Ltd, Sydney & London, Made in England'.

The locket is an excellent gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with clear hallmarks to the surface of one cover and interior of the other.

The locket has some natural surface wear in keeping with age.

The original box bears some discolouration, however, can be considered to be in presentation condition.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian jewellery.
