The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Normandie Watch Company, based in New York, they were an importer of watches. The movement has the importer code JXE for the Normandie Watch Co.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs… originally designed as a man’s watch, it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is chrome plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. It is in good condition, just some wear to the plate on the back of the watch. The inside of the case back is signed Normandie Watch Company. The back of the watch states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.
The dial is in its original finish with blued steel hands and red centre seconds hand. A little darkening to the dial but not too detrimental at all.
The watch has a later leather strap.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
