Description

A vintage exceptional silver set frog brooch c1930. The silver body is set with marcasite stones all over the head, arms, legs and back of the frog. Within that setting the frog has two garnet eyes, and a tapered turquoise set along its back. There is a stamp for 925 silver under one hand. One leg has an interesting variation in the design - a simple crown, between the foot and leg, suggesting the image of the “frog prince”, giving this piece a romantic theme, while still being a stylish item of jewellery.
