I was very pleased to find this pair of rare steel ''inside'' Callipers from the 18thc....they would have been used by professionals in scientific research, quality control and fields like manufacturing, woodworking, and metrology to measure the internal dimensions of objects, such as the inside diameter of a hole or the distance between two surfaces.....they were obviously cherished as they are clearly stamped with the owners initials W. B.....in very good condition.
