An exceptional French Louis XV style tulip wood, ebonised and marquetry free standing serpentine shaped antique writing table or centre table in the style of Joseph Cremer. The table has a beautiful and intricate central inlaid panel of an abbey ruin with detailed inlays of ducks, birds, trees, and flowers to the rest of the table each created using around twenty various woods. The marquetry is of the highest standard throughout.The cabriole legs are adorned with impressive bronze gilt mounts of female faces with floral design terminating to scrolling sabot feet.
