Early 20th century terracotta Paris shop display mannequin

A rare survivor, in the form of a life size terracotta Paris display boy mannequin. With inserted glass eyes and central metal support bracket. Old leather shoes and fabric sock, the head is detachable. This example would have originally had a support stand in place to make him stand alone. All hand painted and in overall good condition its age and fragile material.

One of the hands looks remoulded and the back has a painted patch on the left bum cheek. No other breaks or loss. This item has other forms of wear, like scratches and scuffs across its surface with loss of detail.
