Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 1700s.
It has handsome dot engraved initials 'P over H E' and is bottom marked (hallmarks at the bottom reverse of the handle). The spoon is of good proportions and gauge and spoons in good condition, dating from this period are always sought after. A wonderful collector's piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.
