This late 19th-century carved mahogany and brown leather upholstered desk chair features beautifully carved scrolling arms.
The chair is supported by prominent cabriole legs at the front and swept rear legs, all crafted from solid mahogany with meticulous molded details. It is presented in excellent condition, showcasing a pleasing mahogany frame with a serpentine front over cabriole legs, sweeping arms adorned with relief-carved scroll details, and a desirable curved back. Comfort is a priority with this chair, offering a supportive wide curved backrest. The entire piece has been traditionally upholstered in quality leather hide, complete with correct brass dome cap detailing. The chair seat height is 49cm.
In very good original condition, this armchair offers both comfort and aesthetic charm. Its mid-brown mahogany colour, combined with the original polish, showcases a fantastic hue and patina that can only be achieved through years of care and maintenance.
