Kutchinsky 1.52 Carat Old Cut Diamond Ring, Circa 1945

1920 - 1940
Description

A delightful diamond ring by Kutchinsky, one of the premier London jewellers of the mid 20th century. The old cut European cut diamond in the centre is graded I1, but with white (not black) internal inclusions meaning the diamond is clean to the naked eye. The centre stone is secured in a four claw square collet, with two pairs of eight-cut diamonds set in the step-down shoulders. The curved, rolling detailing either side of the shoulder stones softens a design that is otherwise heavily influenced by the strong geometric forms of the late Deco period.

Presented in a vintage Kutchinsky box.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR.

Cut:? Old European cut in the centre, with eight-cuts in the sides.

Colour:? The centre is K. The sides are G to H.

Clarity:? The centre is I1. The sides are VS1 to VS2.

Carat:? The centre is approximately 1.52 carat, with a further approximate 0.14 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:? 1945.

Size:? J 1/2 (UK) or 5 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:? The diamond is approximately 8mm in diameter and sits 5.6mm from the finger.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
