This is a very striking 19th century Savonarola chair in outstanding condition dating from around 1880. The fine quality chair in solid walnut is profusely inlaid throughout with fabulous brass detail. This has a wonderful warm colour and nice patina to the wood and is in excellent condition.
The chair measures 91 cms high 75 cms wide 50 cms deep.
Provenance : Imported by a Lady from Hoshiapur in the state of Punjab and then fully restored in the 1930s.
