Victorian rosewood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.
The pommel to the top is silver, stamped with the Birmingham assay office mark and the date letter for 1893. The makers mark has worn so unfortunately unknown.
Good size silver pommel engraved around the sides with foliage and the initials JC to the top as shown.
The period ferrule is original and made of brass and steel.
Dark rosewood shaft which is really strong and will support a good weight.
It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 3 cm 1 3/16 inches wide and 5 cm 2 inches long.
It''s in excellent condition for it''s age with only some signs of age and use as you can see in the pictures.
Dinks to the silver pommel but non have caused holes or splits
The shaft has no damage or repairs just marks commensurate with age.
