Description

A lovely little solid silver brooch with gorgeous turquoise guilloche enamel and white enamel crosses on a laurel wreath frame. Beautiful jewel colours and detail. The brooch is unsigned but very similar to work by the Swedish master enamelworker Marius Hammer and we believe it's likely one of his pieces.

SIZE: 2.2cm diameter.

WEIGHT: 4.3g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, enamel.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Stamped 925 on the reverse, with the triple Swedish crown mark partially visible on the C clasp.

CONDITION: In good antique condition, although part of the central white enamel is missing, showing the silver below (which actually makes it look more like a pearl). Some tarnish to the reverse.

ERA: Estimated c.1900s.
