George V Antique Scottish Silver Quaich, William Robb, Ballater 1914.

Description

A beautiful George V Scottish silver three handled quaich. Made in Ballater by William Robb and assayed in Edinburgh in 1914. William Robb was the jeweller and silversmith to both Queen Victoria and Edward the VII at their holiday home in Balmoral Castle. This quaich is unusual as it has three handles and is in excellent undamaged condition. A quaich is a Scottish friendship cup usually used for drinking and sharing whisky.

WEIGHT; 46 grams or 1.5 ozst approx.
