William & Wary Walnut Carved Chair Circa 1685

Description

Rare William and Mary profusely carved walnut side chair in the style of Daniel Marot with spiral turned uprights and cane back, The cane seat now replaced by drop in seat, Raised on bold shaped legs with scroll feet united with carved stretcher. A very fine example but with damage to cane on back. No repairs except seat. Dark rich colour with fine waxed patina. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 47" high. 20" wide 21" deep. Seat height 18"
