The stone is set in a platinum six-claw collet with beautiful leaf-shaped detailing in the gallery, leading to a slim platinum shank.
Although IGI have described the cut as Round Brilliant, the diamond has many characteristics of an Old European Cut - slightly smaller table, cut culet, burnished girdle - making this a transitional cut (a very rare cut that bridged old European cut and round brilliant) rather than a modern round brilliant.
