Art Deco 2.20 Carat Unheated Sapphire & Diamond Ring, French, Circa 1940

Description

A classy late Art Deco sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The emerald-cut sapphire in the centre - certified as natural and unheated - displays a deep greenish blue and is rubover set in milgrained platinum. The stone 'floats' within a surround of 16 eight-cut diamonds. Fine geometric detailing in the gallery leads to a slim and flat 18k white gold shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.

Cut:? Emerald cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour:? The diamonds are F to G.

Clarity:? The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds range from VS1 to VS2.

Carat:? The sapphire is a known 2.20 carat. With a total approximate diamond weight of 0.48 carat.

Circa:? 1940.

Size:? Q (UK) or 8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:? The sapphire is 8.00 x 6.09mm. The head of the ring is 13.7 x 11.25mm and sits 5mm from the finger.

Weight:? 2.43 grams.
