A superb pair of Thomas Pardoe circular plates
of lobed form. Decorated with panels of plants
and flowers around a centre of flower sprays
with cobalt blue and gilt ground and gilt rim.
Renowned for his flower painting he
probably decorated the plates when working
on his own account at Bristol 1809 to 1821 using chiefly
Coalport blanks
