Stunning Pair Victorian Silver Plated Candlesticks by William Hutton C.1890

Description

A really superb pair of Corinthian Column candlesticks by the highly sought-after silversmith, William Hutton & Sons, the makers mark has been struck on the underside of one of the sticks, which is hidden by the green baize, I will leave the fabric loose so that you can decide whether to remove it or not.

Beautifully decorated, all four sides of the square bases feature a Ram's head with continuous Acanthus leaf garlands, these garlands continue around the columns. The tops of the columns are better than most having been pierced or reticulated rather than just solid.

Excellent original condition, with the base measuring 3 1/4" square and standing 6 1/4" tall.
