We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Georgian porcelain sucrier is a covered bowl designed specifically to store sugar as part of a formal tea service during the eighteenth century. These pieces were produced by prominent English factories and decorated with hand-painted patterns or gilding.

Eighteenth-century Worcester porcelain was crafted using a soft-paste body incorporating soapstone, which allowed the vessels to withstand thermal shock from hot liquids. Decorative elements were applied using mineral-based enamels and genuine leaf gilding.

Authenticity is evaluated through the physical characteristics of the soft-paste body, translucency under light, specific factory marks on the base, and distinctive decoration styles attributed to workshops of the period.

An antique porcelain sucrier functions well as a decorative focal point displayed inside a glass cabinet, arranged atop a sideboard, or integrated into a curated dining table arrangement.

Gilded porcelain should be gently dusted with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Dishwashers, abrasive pads, and chemical cleaners must be avoided, as they can wear away delicate leaf gilding and original enamel.
