The desk is in very good condition for its age and has been well looked after. It has a lovely rich patina and the drawers open smoothly. The inside of the drawers are generally clean and tidy with just some minor old ink stains and marks. There are normal signs of age and use, some minor knocks, light surface marks and a few old repairs to chips here and there but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
