Large Old Sheffield Plated Tankard 1845 - Auld Lang Syne

This beautiful large tankard is made of Old Sheffield Plate and dates to 1845. No makers marks but visibly seamed to interior and exterior. Engraved with ''From John Blackburn to David Brown 1845 ''For auld lang syne my dear, for auld lang syne, We''ll tak''a cup o'' kindness yet, for auld lang syne''''. A very statuesque and solid piece with a lovely sentiment.
In good condition with a couple of small patches of copper bleed due to age and use. Small vintage solder strengthener to top of handle.
