Large Antique English Sterling Silver Ring Box - Embossed Floral Decoration

Description

A really pretty sterling silver ring box, the perfect little jewelry casket fitting for seven rings. The tall sides are decorated with a variety of repousse flowers, really quite charming.

The hinged lid has a large oval cartouche to the centre surrounded by an embossed scroll and foliate frame; perfect for engraving by your silversmith, should you desire.

The lid fits perfectly and once opened reveals a fitted interior in deep blue velvet to accommodate seven rings.

The box is hallmarked for Sheffield 1901, late Victorian in era. The makers initials too W & H are present for the top-notch silversmith, Walker & Hall.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 3/4" x 1 1/2" deep x 1 1/2" tall.
