Turning the knobs at the front of the armrests allows the backrest to recline on hinged brass stays. Turned front legs (repeating the design of the arm supports) and swept rear legs on brown pot castors. Worn but serviceable upholstery in an aubergine coloured chenille. Otherwise very good condition, sturdy frame and mechanism, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
