Normally seen in oak cases, this unusual example is a welcome variation as it is in a mahogany case. It is beautifully polished and contrasts superbly with the silvered dial. The whole clock is in excellent condition and ready to go straight to work.
The silvered dial, with brass surround, has black Arabic numerals and is as clean as a new pin.
The 8 day movement strikes on the quarters and the hour, playing the Westminster-Chime tune. Importantly it strikes on rods and gives a very clear, resonating tone that is beautifully in tune. It is fitted with a STRIKE/SILENT facility. The movement has just been fully overhauled by our 9th generation horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
A very smart, very clean, quite unusual clock.
