Antique Hamadan Rug 1.96m X 1.30m

A wonderful antique rug, woven in one of the villages surrounding Hamadan circa 1920. The design features an indigo medallion of stylised flowers on a rich terracotta field surrounded by a pretty ivory border. Fabulous secondary colours including golds and greens and a great example of village weaving.
 
Size: 1.96m x 1.30m (6ft 5in x 4ft 3in)
 
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
