A French Palais Royal gilt and shell chamberstick from Granville, Manche Department, France, c1850. The central turned campana sconce is suspended over three shell dishes. The chamberstick is placed on a S scroll feet with a foliate handle. One shell is inscribed in Gothic Script ''Souvenir de Granville.''
