Pretty King Street Derby Porcelain Coffee Can Strawberries & Bugs 1916 Larcombe

A very sweet porcelain coffee can from the Sampson Hancock Derby factory, copying the classic Regency period Derby Dresden / wishbone shape handle. Adorable hand painted decoration, inside and out, of wild strawberries and ladybirds and other pretty bugs. This can was also part of a special commission as it is personalised for ''Joan'' delicately painted in a script of tiny blue and pink flowers. Gilded rim and foot and accents to the handle. Red S&H mark and also the WL initials for the one year ownership of William Larcombe in 1916 before partnering with F. Howard Paget.
 
It measures 6.3cm (2 1/2'') high and 6.7cm (2 5/8'') rim to rim.
 
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and minimal handling wear.
