A fine & large Japanese Meiji period Kutani pottery okimono depicting the goddess of good fortune, Kannon (Guanyin) in rich gilt & enamel robes, holding a scroll with a serene look on her beautiful face. This splendid okimono is in excellent condition and stands half a meter (19 ¼ inches) tall.
