A good quality Japanese Meiji period bronze okimono of an elderly Japanese peasant in typical garb with a long moustache and beard, leaning forward inquisitively with his hands behind his back, signed Ikkou to the base. This fine bronze shows areas of verdigris developed over time but is in excellent condition standing 16 ½ inches tall.
